Chuck Vanada
Team Owner and Crew Chief

No stranger to racing, Chuck has been involved in the local auto racing scene for the past 27 years as both a driver and a crew member. Since creating Mad Dog Motorsports in 2003, Chuck has served as both the crew chief and one of its team owners. His wealth of knowledge and racing experience have helped the team to experience the great success that they have in their short history. In addition, his friendly and respectful demeanor has helped the team to earn the respect of fellow competitors and officials alike. His primary areas of responsibility include team management, sponsorship acquisition, spotting for Jake, and set up strategy.

 

Bob Malone
Team Owner and Crew Chief

Another racing veteran, Bob Malone has been frequenting pit areas for nearly thirty years. Having formal training as a mechanic and a solid working knowledge of the sport of auto racing, Bob has been working with the team since the beginning. He now functions as both car chief and part team owner. As the car chief Bob’s responsibilities include making sure that the car is race ready, which includes tightening lugs and checking tire pressures, among other things. He also pits the car during the races. As one of the team’s owners, Bob works with Chuck to make responsible decisions for the team. Bob also enjoys the responsibility of serving as the team’s truck driver.

 

Dennis Marote
Fabricator and Auto Body

Serving as the team’s fabricator, Dennis Marote has worked with race teams in divisions as local as the Mini Modifieds at Seekonk Speedway, and as wide-ranging as NASCAR’s top regional touring division – the Camping World Series, East. Since 2003, Dennis has enjoyed the responsibility of doing all the body and tin work on the Mad Dog Motorsports machines. He is also the one who has designed and painted each of the team’s cars. His innovative style and creativity have earned the team many accolades. In addition to serving as the team’s fabricator in the shop, Dennis also helps the team on race day by pitting the car.

 

Ray Neumyer
Crew Member

Another Camping World Series, East veteran, Ray Neumyer, joined the team in 2007 when Mad Dog Motorsports began fielding their Late Model at Seekonk Speedway. Ray’s strong work ethic and racing knowledge made him a great addition to an already strong team. It could be said that Ray is a “jack-of-all-trades and a master of none.” He will perform any task that he is asked to. He, however, does to most of his work with the team’s tires and shocks. On race day, Ray helps Bob and Dennis to pit the car.

 

Josh Vanada
Public Relations & Marketing

Josh Vanada, Jake’s brother, has been with the team since its inception in 2003. Originally serving as a crew member in the team’s karting days, Josh now serves the team as a media consultant. A veteran race official and touring series administrator, he brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the Mad Dog Motorsports team. Using that experience, Josh is the one who projects the public image of the team, directing all of the team’s public relations. Most of Josh’s duties are with the website, however, he also is responsible for comprising the text and design of all the team’s newsletters and promotional materials.
