Date of Birth: July 28, 1990 2008 Making the jump into full-size stock cars, all eyes were on the young driver. With the confidence and poise of a veteran, Jake drove his #16 Aubuchon Hardware Ford Fusion to a seventh place finish in the Championship Point Standings, despite missing an event. Jake finished in the top ten 10 times and in the top five three times in a total of 13 starts. The shining moment of Jake’s season was his stellar performance in the Propane Plus75-lap event in which he battled with veteran Fred Astle, Jr. for the win. Unfortunately, Jake’s season ended with a mechanical failure which broke bones in both Jake’s leg and his arm. 2007 During his second full season behind the wheel of an Allison Legacy car, Jake was a strong contender for the Series title, all the way to the final event of the season. In the end, Jake came up just short, finishing 18 points out of first place. In 14 starts, the team notched 13 top 10’s and 12 top 5’s. In addition, they visited victory lane on three different occasions, including dominant wins in the season opening race at the Waterford Speedbowl and the first-ever visit to White Mountain Motorsports Park (NH). Jake also dabbled in the Seekonk Speedway Late Model division, running a half-dozen races and notching a top ten in nearly all of his starts. 2003-2006 Jake began his racing career on July 6, 2003 behind the wheel of a Junior Outlaw at Sugar Hill Speedway. He continued to compete in that division for the rest of the 2003 campaign, hoping to gain experience for a full season of competition in 2004. Jake was even able to nail down his first win in the highly esteemed Coca-Cola 100, an end of the year extra distance race. In 2004, he had a stellar season behind the wheel of his #46, amassing two wins and never finishing outside of the top five. With this impressive on-track performance he finished second in the Championship Point Standings. With age restrictions forcing Jake out of the Outlaws for 2005, he made the step to Sugar Hill Speedway’s top tier division, the Sugar Hill (SH) Modifieds. Jacob piloted his #46 to 11 top ten finishes in 2005 before the team left weekly competition at Sugar Hill for the touring New England Allison Legacy Series (NEALS). His first race was in July of 2005. In just a handful of races, Jake finished in the top ten in all of them and in the top five for two of them. At the end of the season, the team decided to compete in the Legacy car full time in 2006 as part of the newly formed Allison Legacy North Race Series (ALNRS). In his full first season behind the wheel of an Allison Legacy car, Jake competed in 12 races, winning four of them and finishing outside of the top ten only twice. Of those 10 top ten finishes, nine of them were in the top five. Jacob’s first win was the third race of the season and his eighth race ever behind the wheel of a Legacy car. He gained enough points to finish fourth in the Championship Point Standings even though he missed two of the points races due to emergency surgery midway through the season.
